Although the prices of lithium van batteries have been steadily decreasing, they are still relatively expensive compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. The high cost can deter some potential buyers from switching to EVs. Another challenge is the limited availability of lithium resources. The majority of lithium reserves are concentrated in a few countries, leading to concerns about resource depletion and geopolitical issues. However, researchers are exploring alternative lithium sources and developing recycling methods to mitigate these concerns.
