1. Super long life
The cycle life of lead-acid batteries is generally 250~300 times, and the cycle life of this lithium iron phosphate battery is about 3000 times. If the vehicle is parked for a long time without starting, the battery of the car will be exhausted, and the lead-acid battery will be scrapped. The lithium iron phosphate battery can still be used normally after charging without affecting its lifespan.
2. Ensure safety
The main component of lithium iron phosphate battery is iron, which is not easy to catch fire and explode just like the main component of lead-acid battery is lead.
3. Improve power and reduce fuel consumption
The internal resistance of the battery is low, the output current is large, the electric spark of the spark plug is large, the ignition speed is fast, and the fuel is fully burned. The peak horsepower is increased by about 4.5%, and the peak torque is increased by about 3%. The fuel consumption of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 5% lower than that of lead-acid batteries.
4. High energy density
The same volume of lithium iron phosphate has 50% more capacity than lead acid, and the same volume of lithium iron phosphate has 70% less weight than lead acid.
5. Good high temperature performance
The electric heating peak of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350°C~500°C.
Lithium manganese oxide and lithium cobalt oxide are around 200°C.
The operating temperature range of lithium iron phosphate is -20°C~80°C.
The working temperature range of lead-acid batteries is -20°C~50°C.
6. Reduce vehicle weight
Lithium iron phosphate batteries weigh 70% less than lead-acid batteries, and the reduced weight allows cars to accelerate faster and consume less fuel.

Effect of temperature on start-stop battery:
Summer heat accelerates the aging process:
The driver thought the cold would damage the battery, but it was actually the heat that caused the failure. An outdoor temperature of +20 °C is optimal for car batteries. But in summer, temperatures often climb above +30 °C. High temperatures can cause batteries to self-discharge, causing them to age faster. This process is not noticed in summer and autumn, but difficulties often arise when the engine requires more energy to start in winter.
As a rule of thumb, chemical reactivity doubles for every 10 °C increase in temperature. This leads to an exponential increase in chemical reactivity, which leads to more destructive factors such as grid corrosion. Like rust on body panels, grid corrosion can cause the lead alloy inside the battery to break down. Since the grid facilitates current conduction within the electrodes and forms the mechanical skeleton of the active material, these two tasks of the grid perform increasingly poorly, which is why high temperatures in summer accelerate aging and damage the battery.
Why most battery replacements happen in winter:
We’ve learned that summer heat can damage batteries, and that higher temperatures increase the extent of chemical reactions. This applies to temperatures above 20 °C. If the temperature is below 20 °C, the chemical reactions inside the battery will slow down. With 20°C as the optimum temperature, the chemical reaction drops to 50% at 10°C, and as low as 25% at the freezing point. This means that the battery can perform perfectly in summer at 20°C, but in winter at 0°C there is no response and the battery needs to be replaced.
